Senior Civil/Structural Engineer Job Title Senior Civil/Structural Engineer Post Details Start Date 2008-Jul-24 Location Australia Deadline 2009-Jan-24 Job Information Employment Type Contract - Long Term Classification Show All Categories -> Engineer Specialization Architechtural, Oil & Gas, Civil, Construction Job Position(s) Job Qualifications * Licensed/Registered Senior Civil & Structural Engineer with at least ten years experience in the fields of civil and structural engineering of industrial facilities * Have the ability to work within a multi-discipline project team environment * Have the ability to complete work accurately within time and budget constraints * Have the ability to manage projects within a civil/structural design team * Have a good knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to civil/structural design Possess a high level of computer literacy * Have the proven ability to oversee the preparation of design packages, detail drawings and construction work packs/contracts * Have the ability to work in an office environment with on-site activities Have at least two years experience in oil and gas, refinery or petrochemical industries * Understand and follow the TW One Way HSE Framework & Woodsides Golden Safety Rules Job Duties and Responsibilities * Carry out assigned checking activities within the team for all structural design deliverables to ensure that they are dimentionally correct and meet design input requirement. * Ensure that the correct design input information has been used. * Ensure that all interdiscipline comments and client comments have been addressed. * Carry out assigned structural design activities as required within the team both in the office and when required on site. * Supervise and assist designers and trainees as required with their tasks. * Managed assigned work to meet project needs. Proactively work with other team members to ensure project goals are met. * Ensure technical integrity, quality and consistency of all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design. * Ensure all interfaces (inter-discipline, client, implementation, fabrication, vendor, etc) are identified and managed in the execution of all projects. * Work proactively with the team to resolve issues Health, Safety and Environment * Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others * Provide input in improving HSE performance * Demonstrate due diligence in managing hazards associated with work carried out * Understand and apply Risk Management techniques to work undertaken
